How does Seal work?
Seal guarantees payment only upon full completion of the mission. First, the customer defines the project’s specifications. Second, the freelancer completes the mission while funds are securely held. Third, if the specifications are met, the payment is released; otherwise, it is refunded.
For how long does Seal hold payments?
For each payment, funds are held for the project's duration, up to five days. Payments are then released or refunded within two days, totalling a maximum hold period of seven days.
Do I need an account to send/receive a payment?
You can request and send payments to anyone via email. Recipients will receive an email and, if they don't have an account, will need to create one to send payments or transfer funds to their bank account.
How do you know when a mission is fully completed?
At the end of the mission, the payer has 12 hours to raise a dispute. If no dispute is raised, it means that the mission has been completed. If a dispute is raised, both payer and provider can send elements to help us judge whether or not the specifications have been met.
What happens if the freelancer doesn't complete the mission as agreed?
If the specifications are not met, the client has 12 hours after project completion to raise a dispute and provide evidence. The freelancer then has 12 hours to respond. We will resolve the dispute within 24 hours. If the dispute is upheld, the payment is refunded; if not, the payment is released to the freelancer.
Do you fully refund if the freelancer doesn't complete the mission?
Yes, if the client raises a dispute and the specifications have not been precisely met, the client receives a full refund.
When are the funds released to the freelancer?
Funds are transferred to the freelancer's bank account 7 days after the initial payment.
Which currencies are supported?
We support USD ($), EUR (€) and GBP (£).
What payment methods are supported?
We accept all major credit and debit cards, as well as Link.
What are the fees?
No fees for clients; a 5% fee applies to freelancers.
